A lot of work but thanks to the Courses-Import, I can just “recycle” some of the courses and I do not have to re-invent the wheel.
So I did Course-Import for my science and math courses.
Both kids still busy with music lessons and martial arts.
Their team then qualified for the state competition but because of a scheduled vacation, my son missed it. Nevertheless, the team did well for a first timer at the state tournament.
I must add that the team who won over-all first place and will represent the state of Maryland in the National Science Olympiad on May 18-19 in Florida is a homeschool team from Montgomery county. My whole family took that four-week scheduled vacation to the tropics in March-April and enjoyed the white sandy beaches and tropical weather and was renewed for another homeschool endeavor.
For Foreign Language, younger son wants to learn French (while older son studied Spanish.) That’s my son, he wants challenge in his life.
We speak absolutely no French in our home so praying for wisdom in this area. Also hoping that Homeschool Skedtrack is helping you plan, organize, and track your homeschool progress.
It took a lot of praying and thinking in what route to take for college – every child is unique and this is what God has led us to do for him.
I am now prepping for the next homeschool year for my younger child.

This year is our 8th year of homeschooling and I have an 11th grader and a 7th grader .. My middle schooler is still involved with the Science Olympiad homeschool team with competition in February 2013.
Early in the school year 2012-2013, I took the lead in our middle school Science Olympiad homeschool team.
Boy, that was a lot of work – not for me, but for my then 7th grader and the other 6 kids in the team – yes we did not make a full team but that’s ok, it was all worth it!
We made it to the MD State Competition last April 20th and our homeschool science olympiad team brought home 3 golds, 3 silvers, and 3 bronzes.
